Almost like flying

Jump, she said.

I looked down, my knees a little wobbly, my breathing a little erratic.

Fidgety, petrified.

Ten feet later, (splash!) I went into the pool feet first. Water in my nose, ears, eyes. No more fear-pit in my stomach though.

  1. This is awesome! I could feel the fear and the adrenaline rush. Jumping in I could do, it was the diving that always scared me! ♥

  2. You captured the fear well–and I really relate to the ending: “No more fear-pit in my stomach though.” I love when the scary thing is over more than doing the actual scary thing.
