Knock-knock

Two sharp knocks, always.

“Ring the bell, what if I can’t hear you?”

One day, she waited with an uneasy feeling. (Premonition? Indigestion?)

The bell rang too many times. Insistent knocking.

He walked in. Blood, tears, torn clothes.

-A mother’s (creepy) intuition.
